In the ‘make a squishy sculpture’ workshop children are free to drop in and pick a squishy sculpture. The squishy shape will be stuffed with pillow inserts and can be decorated on the day with fabric pens and gels to make your very own squishy shape designed with their own unique patterns, drawings and colour.

Ella Louise Jones joined us last year and is wrapping up her residency with this interactive, creative workshop. Ella is a Welsh artist currently based in Manchester. She creates installations, sculptures, and costumes centred on kinesthetic learning; learning through bodily movement, and creating tangible interactions between audience and artwork. The sculpture she created for her residency at Wigan STEAM will be featured in the Grand Arcade for the public to interact with and explore alongside taking part in the workshop!
