On the anniversary of the Titanic tragedy, join Brian Joyce for this illustrated talk where he will examine the disaster from the viewpoint of some of the women on board. After examining the main features of the vessel and its fate that night, he will outline the numbers and the roles of the female crew on board. He will then highlight the experiences of four female survivors, two of which were First Class passengers and one each from Second and Third Classes. Throughout his presentation, Brian will challenge and explore some of the myths around the events of that fateful April night.
