DESCRIPTION:It’s Wigan’s turn to get its annual dose of yuletide spirit. The Christmas street markets and funfair will kick off festivities on Standishgate from 10am and Santa will lead the procession of community groups and performers from Mesnes Park at 1pm. The main stage will be entertaining the crowds from 12 noon\, culminating in the Christmas lights switch on at 5pm featuring a stage show with Katy Ashworth from Cbeebies and Andy Bennett from Ocean Colour Scene. There will also be a chance to meet Santa at The Grand Arcade shopping centre (times tbc).
