On Saturday 3rd December 2022\, we’ll be taking over Standish village centre once again\, with a festive street market\, two craft halls\, live music stage and drinks tent. There’ll be singing! There’ll be dancing! There’ll be comedy! And there’ll be so much more! We have over 50 traders at this year’s Standish Christmas Market! \nFor 2022\, we’re also hosting a virtual market alongside our physical one for the very first time! DESCRIPTION:The Old Courts are proud to announce a special show as 2022 draws to a close. \nMark Peters is an esteemed musician\, composer and producer held in especially high regard for his acclaimed solo work and his earlier releases with the timeless ‘Engineers’ \nMarks second visits us with the solo album Red Sunset Dreams\, the follow-up to his hugely acclaimed debut Innerland\, which was one of Rough Trade’s albums of the year when it came out in 2018\, it features a number of guest musicians\, including former One Dove singer and songwriter Dot Allison and pedal steel legend BJCole. \nLike its predecessor\, Red Sunset Dreams is an album about an imaginary landscape. \nWiganer Mark is an understated and humble individual but his work is epic\, thought-provoking and moving. Gracing the Grand Vault with his full band\, this show will take the audience on an ambient\, beautiful journeyinto a prolific and colourful mind. \nThis show is for lovers of guitar\, soundscapes and epic score\, Verve fans love Mark\, artists want to collaborate with him and his shows stand out as incredibly well-considered and perfectly executed assaults on the senses.This is what The Grand Vault was made for. \nFrom the uber-delicate to the bold\, Mark envisages aspects of life through the lens of music visiting landscapes of old Western movies\, exploring their links with the North West of England while touching on wider themes such as isolation\, freedom and dementia sonically building on the palette of the previous record with instrumentation equally inspired by the ascendant ambient Americana movement and classic country-rock.Support on the night is courtesy of Northwest singer-songwriter Andy Stonier debuting brand new original material and DJ Haden Boardman who is curating a two-hour set especially for this event to weave either side of Mark Peters. \nThere aren’t too many nights left in 2022 now\, do not miss this one \n\n    \n        Tickets
